POSITION DESCRIPTION: Facilities Manager

 

Grand View School is looking for a self starting leader to oversee the school facilities, equipment, and grounds.

 

ANNUAL SALARY: $41,000 to $57,000 based on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree preferred, technical school education, or experience in management.

Experience in maintenance, custodial services, or a technical trade.

Ability to lift 55 pounds to shoulder height occasionally.
Ability to push / pull a minimum of 20 pounds frequently.

REPORTS TO: Superintendent

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve month employment with benefits provided according to the Classified Personnel policies.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Plan, schedule, and direct the maintenance and repair of facilities, systems, and grounds.
2. Oversee the maintenance and custodial staff.
3. Perform a variety of maintenance and repair work as needed.
4. Conduct regular inspections to locate and address maintenance problems.
5. Identify and address safety hazards.
6. Advise the Superintendent of facility needs.
7. Plan for future maintenance needs.
8. Maintain a list of contacts of suppliers, service providers, tradesmen, etc.
9. Acquire estimates and quotes for projects as needed.
10. Prepare requisitions for purchases needed.
11. Review and approve invoices for payment.
12. Oversee an inventory of maintenance supplies, equipment, and materials.
13. Plan and schedule maintenance of district vehicles.
14. Operate district vehicles as needed including buses.
15. Perform other related duties as assigned.
