Job Description: Child Nutrition Manager

Commences: January 5, 2026

Reports to: The superintendent

Responsibilities: The Child Nutrition Manager is responsible for overseeing the food service program in its entirety. This includes menu planning, ordering food and supplies, food preparation, daily operation of the kitchen and cafeteria, supervising food service employees, meeting regulatory requirements, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment, and submitting applications and claims.

Training: Training will be provided for all aspects of the responsibilities.

Qualifications: The Child Nutrition Manager must have proficiency in planning, organization, problem solving, basic computer skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and directing the work of others.

Work Schedule: The work schedule aligns with the days school is in session including summer school plus two to three days as necessary for preparing the kitchen prior to school starting.

Salary: Ranges from $25,000 to $34,000 depending on experience.
